Our Programs
Each year, the Golden Bell Education Foundation awards grants to the most deserving and innovative programs that support career exploration throughout Boca Raton public schools. The Golden Bell Board of Directors convenes annually to review grant applications and select recipients. Recipients are notified during the summer and receive their grants at the Chamber’s September Membership Breakfast. This year's breakfast will be held on Thursday, September 8th, 2022.

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) is an exciting program that transforms local middle and high school students into entrepreneurs. Through the nine-month long curriculum, students in grades 6-12 work in close partnership with local leaders of industry, community members, and educators to develop life skills, generate business ideas, conduct market research, write business plans, and launch their very own companies. The program culminates with a shark tank style event as students pitch their ideas to a panel of investors and ask for funds to support their business venture.

What The Teachers Are Saying
Several teachers from Don Estridge have had the good fortune to be recipients of your generosity in the past. We have purchased books and learning materials, electronic equipment (before everyone had it), and learning programs, all of which have greatly benefitted the students and made learning more enjoyable and effective. You have also helped our teachers become better educators, giving them the necessary tools to improve learning.
- Annette Levine, Co Department Chair, Don Estridge High Tech Middle School
Ms. Mary Fish has been a past recipient of the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce Golden Bell Grant in past years. Her collaboration is what inspired me to apply for this grant to further grow our students' quest for creative ways to explore their education while using 21 Century skills we teach at Spanish River High School. |
Golden bell has been such an amazing support to my classroom. I am so deeply humbled and grateful and happy too. I can see the growth in my students with the previous books that were given to my class. It truly made a difference. Your funding helped tremendously. |
I was very fortunate to have Golden Bell fund 2 different grants for the ESOL program. This year it has been so beneficial to use the materials purchased for the Shared Reading kit. The materials are digital and paper based. This allowed the students on campus to have hard copies of the engaging texts and the virtual students were able to view them on the screen. The students loved the texts and have been able to make reading gains. The texts have both fiction and non fiction stories. - Sharon Gotschall, ESOL Corrdinator / SAI Teacher, Whispering Pines Elementary School
